I have several projects up in the air, so for the sake of accomplishing something this year, I present to you a very short Perpetual Workday installment. It's less than 30 seconds, so be kind...rewind.

I implore you not to forget the F.U. Halloween episode, Antiheroes. Still considered (by me) to be the most entertaining piece of Flash I've ever put together.

I've realized that development on my next project is going to take a while. So far this year has gone by without a new release, and I'm worried about keeping the 7-year streak alive of releasing a video every year.
Therefore, I've begun work on a filler project. It's somewhat of a spin-off of Perpetual Workday, but with modified character sets. It also acts as a proving ground for some new techniques I plan to use in Second Fiddle.

The script is actually one that was written back in the F.U. days for a contest on Adult Swim. It never got much further than that and the idea was batted around a few more times before it was shoved to the back burner. Now it's back! and it goes by the working title "Empty Calories."

My plan is to work on a scene each day that I have available to do so. By that rate it should only take me seven days to complete it. It's just a matter of finding seven days to work on it.

Nevertheless, look for it in September. I'll make an announcement just before it's released.

And now for no reason, one of my cats licking the skin off my arms.

Little Bit Of Trivia:

In Perpetual Workday: Tuesday, the scene where Tyler wakes up with the wooden arm, the background music is an instrumental called Treefingers by Radiohead. I'm not big on using licensed music, but that was too tempting not to pass up.

In other news, I'm developing a new series. After the untimely death of Perpetual Workday, I feel I need to get back in the saddle again. I won't go into detail, but there is a Facebook Fan Page. So that you can, you know, be a fan of something you know absolutely nothing about.

Clever Thing I Bet You Didn't Notice

No more Perpetual Workdays. There may be some short episodes with limited characters, but none of the truly special ones. I'm sorta irritated by this.

Luke, who does the voice of Tyler, cast nearly the entire secondary characters from a job he worked at. They would record the voices while at work. The problem: he no longer has this job - and there's no way I can get into contact with any of them. These characters include Viking Bob and Ivan Ronman - two of my favorites.

It sucks because I had written a hilarious new episode. Now it's in the shitter.

What sucks more is at this point I may not have a Newgrounds release at all this year. Here's hoping I can pull something together before the year's out.

Thanks to everyone for their support in this short-lived series.

Good News: I just finished the script to the next Perpetual Workday!

Bad News: I should have had that done at least a month ago.

That'll ruin my hope of having this episode out on the same day the originaldebuted a year ago (January 25). No matter, I'll go about this at my own pace.

What I can tell you is that this episode will involve a pretty epic vampire battle - pitted against undercover weapons master, Dee Von Zecks. There will also be monster trucks involved, but I won't spoil that right now.

This will be a start of a three-episode story arch that concludes with the final episode, which most likely won't appear until 2011.

Hope is enjoying Twenty-Ten so far.

Vampires and Monster Trucks

Johnny faces the board, Tyler gets termites, Dee fights a vampire. All in a day's work!

Thus begins the script writing process for the next Perpetual Workday.

I promise not to talk about this one as much as the others. I feel it builds up hype for nothing.

Also, to those few who caught Death: Defiant in the portal a few days ago, it was a project that I started six years ago, but never completed. Looking back, it really had potential, just not production value. I decided to pull it from the portal ultimately because I feel that people took it to be a representation of my current work. You can still see pieces of it on the TV and in the credits of F.U.: FUXMAS.

The Cycle Begins Anew

Thanks for everyone who supported Perpetual Workday: Tuesday. It wasn't really the resounding success that the first one was, but I am still content. Currently I have no plans to make a third, but that may surface eventually.

I also wanted to let people know that I deleted a few of my earlier works.
Pirates of the Music Industry
White Mage
Nintendo & Square Reunite

Reason being that they were topical at the time they were made (2003) and no longer hold relevance today. Additionally, they were done at a time when I didn't have a grasp on sound syncing, so what you get is a lot of off-track audio.

It's Tom Fulp's world and we're just living in it, but what a world we live in!

Perpetual Workday: Tuesday is available for your viewing pleasure, just follow this sentence to your destination.
It's only seven months late from what I originally projected, but I'm fine with it as long as you are. If you haven't seen the original, please humor me.

A few notes:

The file size is much greater than the last. This was to address sound quality complaints that arose in the previous installment. Except for a few clicks and pops (namely Viking Bob) I think things sound excellent.

See if you can snag the Radiohead reference. If you piece it all together, it becomes one of my most clever subtle references ever!
Speaking of that, I try to abide by Newgrounds' wishes to keep away from licensed music, but the Radiohead reference was just too brilliant to pass up. Sorry guys. Even so, it still features seven songs from the Audio Portal.

I'm not sure I'll do any more of these after this one. Believe me, I'd love to, but I just don't have the time for it these days; furthermore, I'm afraid if I do ultimately come back to it, my principle voice actors we'll all be gone. Mostly because I haven't formerly met at least half of the voice staff, including some who aren't even on Newgrounds.

That's not to say it's hopeless. There are several ideas floating around for Perpetual Workday: Humpday, including a nearly completed script that would never work because of length. It may happen, just not for some time.

Thanks everyone for your support!

Also, the original was released on YouTube today by co creator Luke. Check it out.
