Never wrestle in the mud with a pig. You'll get filthy and the pig will enjoy it.

F.U.3 Demo and Series Cancellation

Posted by rockymike - August 31st, 2008

I noticed that F.U.3 is number 3 on the most anticipated flash list. Of course this is based from Alpha, and Alpha seems to be not working right, but I take the honor regardless.

In celebration, for those of you who can't wait another month or two for the first two F.U.3 releases, there is a demo on our website ahead of it's release. There's still an incomplete scene and some graphical bugs in the second part, but other than that, things are pretty well complete.

My hope is for an October release on Newgrounds. Both parts will come out simultaneously, so there will be no waiting. Because, the other five parts are still in the early stages, and I'm holding off on them mostly to see the overall reception of these.

That being said, I have another announcement that will rock your world. Except for the remaining parts of F.U.3 and a possible F.U. remake, the F.U. series is officially at it's end. There has been blow after blow to the series since the beginning of the summer. It started with the closing of the Book N Bean, the inspiration for a lot of the episodes as well as the place where we recorded all the audio for F.U.3. We finished the summer with the announcement that J.D. Reed, the voice of Beaner, the series mascot, is moving to California. After these two hard knocks we decided to best let the series go and leave the series where it is. We had a lot of fun making it, and there's still fun to be had in these last parts.

To fill the void, we are developing a new series. I won't say much about it now, but it runs in the same vein as F.U. just a different setting with different (yet strangely similar) characters. I may toss you a screen shot ahead of it's release, but I'll mostly keep silent on this one.

Hope there will be more ninjas in the upcoming F.U's.

You know, for a long time we had this joke that involved ninjas that just never seemed to make it into any of the episodes. Oh well.

There are assassins in this one. But that's not until a few parts later.
