I've been debating something recently. My original release plan with F.U.3 was to wait until all seven parts were completed and release them over a course of a week. Since I'm almost a year behind with production I was wondering if I should rethink this.

As it stands, I have the prologue finished except for touch-ups and the offical trailer. Part 1 is moving along and I hope to have it finished by the end of the year. The other parts are pending.

If you're not familiar with the story. Take this Link. or Watch the previous episode.

I'm considering releasing them one at a time. This would take away from the excitment of having one a day for a week. I can't decide. Also, we wanted the game to come before anything - since it's the backstory between the prologue and the main feature.
Any thoughts?

The F.U.3 Question

Not much new to report. I sorta wish Luke would post a progress report as well, since he hasn't made a post in over two months. Maybe I'll send him an email and make him do one. He's been doing a lot of original music for the game - but that's all I'll say, I let him tell you the rest.

It's hard for me to keep a secret when I know we have a good thing going. It's been a personal struggle to not reveal too much of the story. What I give to you now, on the Flash section over at our website is an animatic (animated storyboard) of the official trailer for F.U.3, which it is my understanding that it will almost be entirely frame by frame.

Anyways, to give you an idea of how crazy this thing will be when it's finished. Everything in the trailer will be from the final movie- maybe not all fbf, but all taken from the script.

Btw, Summer 2008 is not a realistic release date, probably fall. If we can really get cookin.

Now for no reason is one of my cats.

Production is sputtering along

Antiheroes went well despite its low score. It still managed a daily 4th, which gives me 10th poral award since 2004. Anyhow, it remains to be seen how Antiheroes will fare in the Halloween contest, I just hope it picks up a ton of views.

In regards to that, look for a non-Halloween version of Antiheroes in November. As you may have noticed, it wasn't my original intention to make this a Halloween episode, though The Darkness made her annual appearance. Anyways, this isn't a definite release, but I'm up for it.

Right now I battling an epic cold, but once it's out of the way I will officially be putting all my spare time into F.U.3. I've been talking about this thing for a year now (In fact, we recorded all the dialoge for it last January). It's been a long road, this past year, with losing jobs, gaining jobs, moving twice in one summer, losing several family members, purchasing a Wii.

But now, it's time to bog down and get this sucker done.

I have to admit the progress isn't nearly as far along as it should be. of the 7 parts, only 1 and a half of them are completed. Now I'm all about rewarding fans. And to show you how things are going, I posted the opeing credits on our website. Sadly, it is my favorite scene thus far. This one the first thing I did for F.U.3 and I'm sad to say I did this last November. Now that all other projects are out of the way, I hope that things will get a move on.

I'll stop talking about it now and get something done.

On to F.U.3

Hello everyone.

Please watch and vote for Antiheroes. This is my Halloween submission this year and I'm really proud of it. I don't believe it's gotten a fair shake in the portal so far so have a look and see what you think.

It's got references from Zelda to Madness. Have a look!

Antiheroes in the Portal

Per Mr. Finland's request, a screenshot from the fight scene. It was hard finding a screenshot that would do it justice, as you need to watch it in motion to truly appreciate it.

This will be my last post before the Oct 3 release. See you then.

I'm bursted at the seams with pride for my Halloween entry, F.U.: Antiheroes.
I feel that the characters' intentions and personalities are developed exactly the way I've always wanted. It's just a fun flash.

So because I'm waiting to finish the fbf fight scene, and I can't hardly wait till the Oct. 3 release date, I will be releasing an exclusive scene from Antiheroes on our website Ok5studios.com Just look in the flash section and search for Antiheroes preview.

This scene is later in the flash when the group first encounters the flamboyant Lord Dread.

F.U.: Antiheroes will be on the portal Oct 3.

I've been a lazy ass these last few days, what with having the place to myself for a week. I did pump myself full of energy drinks and pounded out a new scene from Antiheroes. Really, aside from the credits, there're just two more scenes to go; however, they are massive scenes that are the most vital to the plot. I think i may storyboard these.

In other news, I've begun writing on two new comic series. One deals with Beaner's origin, which was already briefly covered in Truncated Origin Story. The other, I, Cantalopue, deals with Luke and Cassi's eventual marriage. That will be the first comic series out of the box - and I feel the most clever.

It looks like Luke is staying in Fairmont, which means the possibility of more F.U. episodes in the future. I do think I will do less of them though and do more comics.

I do want to work on a new series though, one that's a little more serious with more room for expansion. That's all I'll say for now.

Here's another Antiheroes screenshot

Good News for Mr. Finland

There has been some concern this week as to the fate of F.U.

Both F.U. Antiheroes and F.U.3 Aaron of Duty will be out as scheduled, but whether or not there will be any more succeeding those episodes is in question.

First off, every time I do an episode that runs longer than ten minutes I always say "this is the last one" usually they turn out to be successful and I decide to continue. The 45-minute long F.U.3 is taking a little more out of me than expected. Paired with co-production of Antiheroes that I've actually set a deadline on (Oct. 3) and it's just become one big ball of stress.

Don't get me wrong, I love doing this. F.U. will always exist as a comic, and one of these days (hopefully) next month, it will be a regularly updated comic page.

I'm also developing a new series - I know I say that a lot, but I've always had a desire to do a more dramatic flash series - and this is my best chance to get that done. It won't even begin production until F.U.3 is finished.

More importantly, the master of bad luck, Luke, recently lost his job. Which I think was pretty shitty, not only because it was for a reason beyond his circumstances, but also because he'd only been back to work for a month after recovering from brain surgery prior to that. If anyone of you is living in WV and has CityNet for internet, cancel it because they are a bunch of fuckers.

Anyhow, if he doesn't find a job soon, he will eventually move to Delaware, where his wife's family is from. Him leaving Fairmont would result in the loss of all secondary voice actors, including the voice of Beaner and basically anyone else from the Book N Bean. Since the next episode I wanted to do was on the origin of Beaner, I would be losing a valuable cast member - and I rather just retire the series then replace the actors.

Sorry this seems so depressing. Good news is that Antiheroes is 75% finished and is looking good for its release date. Attached is a screenshot.

F.U.3 production has been slow over the summer whilst I worked on freelance projects that I was actually getting paid for. Once Antiheroes drops it will be full steam ahead on production. As of now, I calculate the release date to be about a year from now. It's quite a wait, I know, but it should very much be worth it.

Update and the Fate of F.U.

I've gotten some serious Antiheroes work done over the holiday weekend. I'd say my progress stands at about 50%.

This is really shaping up to be my favorite of all F.U. episodes. It's just fun - and it mixes all my favorite elements of flash storytelling. It's got an epic quest for not so epic reasons. It's got a parody of a popular genre (quest, rpg games) and it has a lot of elements you would have found on old school Adult Swim...you know, back when it was good.

I also got a Wii, which occupies the rest of my free time. I got it mostly as a way to trick myself into exercising, which is working out great. I recommend that to anyone wanting to build some muscle, if nothing else. I played baseball for a half hour yesterday and my arm has been burning all day. It feels great, though it doesn't.

Back to Antiheroes. I have it tentatively scheduled for an October 3 release. This depends on whether the Halloween contest has officially started or not. I would like to be one of the first in the collection, to allow for more exposure time. This is more because I'd like to have an episode go over 25k views this year. So far, none have accomplished that. This is definately the one of all the episodes that deserves it.

However, I also want it to be in the Halloween contest this year too. If the offical preloader isn't up by the third then I'll just have to put it off. I fear that Madness Day will push back the offical start of Halloween, since it happens in late September. Not to worry though, I've got a flash for that contest as well.

To show you how serious I am about this project. I've gone back and reworked some of the initial art. Below is an example.

Nappy-Headed Antiheroes.
