Hey man, no need for regrets, you're learning it now and that's what counts.
I've seen people who've been able to learn Flash and do amazing work after only about a year of learning, so don't get into your mind this early on that's it's going to take you 5 years to learn, or else it will! :P
The problem really is that I'm likely as good as I'm going to get now. I just wish I was this good five years ago, when I had time to really crank out some stuff.
